Lower Secondary Profile
Lower Secondary level aims to form students with Islamic values which in lined with the actual life skills as well as their cognitive skills. By applying PEARSON Edexcel Curriculum from United Kingdom, we provide students with a program called ‘iLowersecondary ActiveLearn’ which allows students to have access digitally to the subjects by the guidance of the teachers.
Lower Secondary level also provide students with some variety of life skills activities such as Market Day, Public speaking and PMI which allow them to explore their non cognitive skills, enhance their creativity and build their confidence in the outside world.
Islamic Values
As a Muslim nowadays, world has become so challenging. That is why DMIIS Lower Secondary provides students with some Islamic values that can bring out their true identity as a Muslim by following Al-Qur’an and the sunnah as the true way of living from our prophet Muhammad SAW. Therefore, we provide students with some activities such as Tahfiz or Qur’an memorization, Dhuha prayer, and Friday general class for female students. By those activities, students are guided to have good attitude (Akhlaqul Karimah), tolerance, self-worth, be respectful toward each other with a strong Iman and Taqwa to Allah SWT.
Academic Values
DMIIS provides students with different variety of subjects such as core (English, Math, Science, computing, Social Studies) and non-core subjects (Bahasa Indonesia, Islamic Studies, PPKN, Arabic, Tahfiz, Art & craft and Physical Education). Students are expected to be creative, factual and confident in using their critical thinking In context with some actual issues in today’s world.
